Activity categories overview

Activity categories allow you to group similar activities together on reports and invoices.

Before you start

Make sure you're assigned to a permission group that has Activities enabled.

Add activity categories

  1. Select Setup, then Activity Categories.
  2. Select Add .
  3. Enter an ID and Name for the activity category.
  4. Enter an invoice description if you would like a different name to appear on your client's invoice.
  5. Select Save when you're finished.

Set a category grouping for an activity

When you add an activity, choose the activity category to group activities together to display on reports and invoices.

Edit activity categories

  1. Select Setup, then Activity Categories.
  2. Choose the activity category, then select Edit .
  3. Make changes and select Save.

Delete activity categories

  1. Select Setup, then Activity Categories.
  2. Choose the activity category, then select Delete.
  3. Select Delete to confirm.
